Yuva Hat Terms of Use

1. What the app offers

Yuva Hat is an app for a family to message each other, make voice and video calls, use push-to-talk and share location among themselves. Only phones added by members of the family can join the family.

Yuva Hat is free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertisements.

2. No account; responsibility lies with your phone

• The app does not use an account, phone number or e-mail address. Your family information and messages stay on your phones.
• There is no cloud backup. If your phone is lost or erased, the messages on that phone cannot be recovered. Messages on the other phones in the family remain on them.
• You are responsible for protecting your phone and, if set, your app lock (PIN or your phone's lock: face, fingerprint or passcode).
• If a phone is lost, the parents in the family can remove it from the family.

3. Rules of use

You agree not to use the app:

• for unlawful purposes,
• in a way that violates the rights of others or involves harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech or violence,
• in a way that involves child sexual abuse, obscenity or private images shared without consent,
• for fraud, unsolicited bulk messages or impersonating another person,
• in a way that disrupts, overloads or abuses the app or the Mailbox through reverse engineering.

Content and behavior that violate these rules are not tolerated in any form.

Because end-to-end encryption means we cannot see content, family members are responsible for content within the family. You can report an offensive message from within the app (press and hold the message → Report) and block the sender. We review reports within 24 hours; we remove a person or family who violates the rules, together with the families they invited, from Yuva Hat. We forward reports concerning child abuse to the competent authorities. For reports and questions: info@mekanapp.com.

4. Children

Children use the app after being added to the family by their parents and under their supervision. Parents approve a child joining the family.

5. Mailbox and continuity of service

A Mailbox that cannot see content is used to deliver messages to an offline family member. We make reasonable efforts to maintain the Mailbox but cannot guarantee that it will operate without interruption. Undelivered encrypted envelopes are deleted after 7 days. The Mailbox is not used in fully serverless mode.

6. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage arising from delayed or undelivered messages, data loss due to a lost phone, or reliance on the app in emergencies. Yuva Hat is not an emergency call service; in an emergency, call 112 (or your local emergency number).

7. Intellectual property

The name, icon and software of the app belong to ESER TEKNOLOJİK PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ. The licenses of the open source components used in the app are listed within the app.

8. Changes and termination

If these terms change, this page is updated. Material changes are announced in the app at least 15 days before they take effect. If the service is to be discontinued, this is announced in the app at least 30 days in advance. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Effective date: the day the app is first published in the store. Last updated: 22 October 2026.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction over disputes. The right of consumers to apply to the consumer arbitration committee or consumer court of their place of residence, within the monetary limits announced each year under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, is reserved. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.
