Yuva Hat Data Deletion

This page explains how to have your data deleted in the Yuva Hat app, developed by ESER TEKNOLOJİK PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ.

Yuva Hat does not create accounts and does not ask for your name, phone number or e-mail address. There is therefore no account on a server to delete. Your messages and family information stay on your phones.

1. Deleting from the app

  1. Open Yuva Hat and go to Settings.
  2. Tap "Bu telefondaki Yuva'yı sil" (Delete Yuva on this phone) and confirm.

This deletes all Yuva data on the phone (messages, family information, encryption keys) and your ring registration in the Mailbox. There is no cloud backup; the data is not included in the phone's own cloud backup either.

2. Deletion request by e-mail

If you no longer have access to the app, or if you want your family number and invitation chain record or report records deleted:

  1. Send an e-mail to info@mekanapp.com with the subject "Yuva Hat veri silme" (Yuva Hat data deletion).
  2. State in the e-mail which data you want deleted.

Requests are handled free of charge within 30 days at the latest.

3. Data deleted and retained

  • Encrypted envelopes and files: deleted once delivered; if not delivered, kept for at most 7 days.
  • IP address: not stored.
  • Reports: 30 days; a report whose review is complete is deleted earlier.
  • Invitation chain records: as long as your family uses Yuva Hat. The public key of a phone that leaves the family is removed from the chain automatically; an unused invitation code becomes invalid when it expires (7 days). You can request deletion of your family number at info@mekanapp.com.
  • Ring registration: until your phone renews it, leaves the family, or deletes it with "Delete Yuva on this phone". When someone leaves your family, the registration is renewed automatically.
  • Messages and family information on your phone: until you delete them or a disappearing message expires. There is no cloud backup; they are not included in the phone's own cloud backup either.
