Yuva Hat Child Safety Standards

This page describes the standards that ESER TEKNOLOJİK PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ applies in the Yuva Hat app against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

1. Zero tolerance

Yuva Hat does not tolerate in any form the sexual abuse or exploitation of children, the creation, sharing or storage of such material, grooming of children for abuse, or the sexualization of children. This prohibition is set out in section 3 of the Terms of Use, and any violation results in permanent removal from the service.

2. How the app works

  • Yuva Hat is a messaging app used only within a family. There are no public profiles, no search, no discovery and no matching with strangers.
  • Yuva Hat is joined by invitation; every family is linked in the invitation chain to the family that invited it.
  • A phone can join a family only by scanning the code shown on a phone already in the family, and the parents approve the new member. Parents approve a child joining the family.
  • No one outside the family can write to or call children.

3. In-app reporting and blocking

  • Press and hold a message → "Şikayet et" (Report) or "… engelle" (Block).
  • Chat info → Güvenlik (Safety): block, report; parents can remove a member from the family.
  • Settings → Engellenenler (Blocked) and Settings → Şikayet et (Report).

Reports reach us immediately. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we cannot see their content; we can see a message only if the person reporting it chooses to attach it to the report, and then only that message.

4. Review and action

  • Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
  • A person and family found to be involved in child sexual abuse or exploitation are removed from the invitation chain and from Yuva Hat; where necessary, the families they invited are also removed.
  • In accordance with our legal obligations, information concerning child abuse is reported to the competent authorities (in Türkiye, the relevant law enforcement units and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; where appropriate, NCMEC in the United States), and requests from authorities are answered within the legal framework.

5. Compliance with laws

Yuva Hat complies with applicable child safety laws, in particular the legislation of the Republic of Türkiye, and with the policies of the application marketplaces through which it is distributed.
