Yuva Defteri Terms of Use

1. What the app offers

Yuva Defteri is an app made for a family to keep its home information, devices and warranties, documents, contacts, health summary, medications and appointments, calendar and passwords in one place. Only people and devices approved by the parents can join the family.

Yuva Defteri is free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads.

2. No account; the responsibility is yours

• The app does not use an account, phone number or e-mail address. Your information is kept encrypted on your family's phones and, if you have one, on the Family Box in your home.
• There is no cloud backup. If a phone is lost or wiped, the information on it remains on the family's other devices; if there is no other device in the family, it can be restored only from an archive file you have made. Keeping the archive file and its password safe is your responsibility.
• We do not hold the Vault's key. If you lose the paper share printed to recover the Vault and the other shares of the key, we cannot bring back the information in the Vault.
• Protecting your phone and, if you use one, your app lock (PIN or your phone's lock: face, fingerprint or passcode) is your responsibility.
• The Family Box is your own computer; keeping it on, up to date and secure is your responsibility.
• If a phone is lost, the parents in the family can remove that phone from the family.

3. Rules of use

You agree not to use the app:

• for unlawful purposes,
• to collect other people's personal information unlawfully or to violate the rights of others,
• to store child sexual abuse material or private images obtained without consent,
• for fraud or to impersonate someone else,
• in a way that disrupts, overloads or abuses through reverse engineering the operation of the app or our connection services.

Since we cannot see the content of the notebook, family members are responsible for the information added to it. Add another adult's health information with their knowledge; keep information about people outside the family only for your family's own use.

4. Artificial intelligence

@Yuva and document reading work with AI and can make mistakes. Nothing the AI finds is saved without your approval; checking that it is correct before approving is your responsibility. @Yuva does not give medical, legal or financial advice. You can send us a wrong answer with "Report" under the answer.

5. Care Desk, reminders and Family Shield

• The Care Desk only stores and reminds you of the medications, doses and appointments you enter. It is not a medical service or advice and does not calculate doses. For medication and treatment decisions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• Reminders are set up on your phone. They may be delayed or not go off because of the phone's notification and battery settings, silent mode or the phone being off. Do not rely on the app alone for important medications and appointments.
• Family Shield guides you on suspicious calls and messages; it does not guarantee that it will recognise every scam.

6. Children

Children use the app when their parents add them to the family and under their supervision. Parents approve a child joining the family.

7. Connection and continuity of the service

An open peer-to-peer network is used to connect your family's devices to each other; the nodes on it cannot see the content. We make reasonable efforts to keep the app working, but we cannot guarantee that they will work without interruption. You can export the whole notebook at any time as a single password-protected file; the file format is open.

8. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from a wrong AI answer, a delayed or missed reminder, data loss due to a lost phone or a forgotten password, or reliance on the app in emergencies. Yuva Defteri is not an emergency call service; in an emergency, call 112.

9. Intellectual property

The app's name, icon and software belong to ESER TEKNOLOJİK PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ. The information you add to the notebook is yours. The licences of the open-source components used in the app are listed within the app.

10. Changes and termination

If these terms change, this page is updated. Material changes are announced in the app at least 15 days before they take effect. If the service is to be discontinued, this is announced in the app at least 30 days in advance; your notebook stays on your devices and can be exported. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Effective date: the day the app is first published in the store. Last updated: 24 October 2026.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction over disputes. Consumers' right to apply to the consumer arbitration committee or consumer court of their place of residence, within the monetary limits announced each year under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, is reserved.
