Yuva Defteri Data Deletion

This page explains how you can delete your data in the Yuva Defteri app developed by ESER TEKNOLOJİK PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ.

Yuva Defteri does not create an account and does not ask for your name, phone number or e-mail address. That is why there is no account to delete on a server. Your notebook information is kept encrypted on your family's phones and, if you have one, on the Family Box in your home; we cannot see this information.

1. Deleting in the app

  • Deleting a page: Open the page and delete it. The page's encrypted records are cleared from the family's devices within one year at the latest; its file on the Family Box is deleted after 90 days. Copies may remain on the devices of family members who saw the page earlier.
  • What you asked @Yuva: Settings → My questions → "Delete all". You can also change the retention period here.
  • All information on this phone: Remove Yuva Defteri from the phone. All notebook information and encryption keys on that phone are deleted. There is no cloud backup; the data is not included in the phone's own cloud backup either.
  • A lost phone: The parents in the family can select that phone under Family and remove it with "Remove from family and wipe".
  • Family Box: The computer in your home is yours. You can remove the encrypted copy on it by deleting the Yuva files there.

2. Deletion request by e-mail

If you want the e-mails you sent us deleted, or have another request:

  1. Send an e-mail to info@mekanapp.com with the subject "Yuva Defteri data deletion".
  2. In the e-mail, write which data you want deleted.

Requests are handled free of charge within 30 days at the latest.

3. Data deleted and retained

  • Notebook information: until you delete it.
  • What you ask @Yuva: 30 days by default; can be changed or deleted in Settings.
  • AI suggestions not yet approved: only on your phone, for at most 24 hours.
  • Exported and opened files: deleted from the app's temporary folder after 10 minutes.
  • IP address: not kept by us; we do not operate any server on this network.
  • The code scanning library's diagnostic data: subject to its provider's own retention periods; we do not see or store this data.
  • E-mails you send us: at most 1 year after your question or report is resolved.
