Frequently asked questions

How do I set up a family? Open the app, choose to set up a family and enter the family name and your name. If you wish, set an app lock (PIN, or face or fingerprint). Then add your pet.

How does someone join my family? A phone already in the family shows a join code. The new person scans this code with their own phone. The same five pictures appear on both phones; if they match, the joining is confirmed on both phones and the person joins the family.

Do I need an account or a phone number? No. Yuva Pati does not use an account, phone number or e-mail.

Where is my information kept? It is stored encrypted on your phone. If your family uses more than one phone, it is kept only on your family's phones. We cannot see it. There is no cloud backup.

Does Yuva Pati suggest medicine doses or vaccine schedules? No. Yuva Pati only stores and reminds you of the medicines, vaccines and appointments you enter. Consult your vet for decisions about your pet's health.

I don't get reminders. Check Ayarlar → Bildirimler ve sessiz saat (Settings → Notifications and quiet hours). Check that notification and exact alarm permissions are on for Yuva Pati in your phone's settings.

Why did a family member's SOS appear in Yuva Pati? If someone in your family sends an SOS from Yuva Acil or another Yuva app, Yuva Pati shows it too. In an emergency, call 112.

My phone was lost. What should I do? Parents in the family can select that phone under Ayarlar → Kayıp telefon (Settings → Lost phone) and remove it with "Aileden çıkar ve sil" (Remove from family and wipe). Install Yuva Pati on the new phone and join again face to face with someone in the family; the family's records come from the other phones.
